HTML5-WEBM-OGG for Developers

I am so exited about what is going on with the Internet these days! When you ask the question what's new on the Internet, there are many answers one could choose from. But for me without a doubt the new HTML5 standards and the video encoding formats are making the biggest impact on the Internet in terms of media in my opinion.

As a developer I can truly appreciate the efforts underway to create an open-source environment which offers freedom and accessibility for every user as the ultimate goal of this project. I have mentioned this transition in previous posts but each day the process is fine tuned to another level and more and more developers, software engineers and browsers are jumping on board.  It won't be long now!

The <video> tag in HTML5 is the greatest thing to come along since Flash. Being able to embed video content without PLUG-INS is fantastic news! But there are still some tweaks to be done and they are still waiting for just a few egotistical and high on their horse browsers to get on board.
In my opinion, any company or browser that doesn't get on board will just be left behind as end-users accept the new ease of use and increased accessibility across all devices.

I wanted to write this post to let everybody know about the growing numbers of HTML5-WebM and OGG media Players that are available now. Encoding video and audio into these formats is quite easy with all of the video and audio converters available for free download and or purchase. Software like "AnyVideoConverter" makes child's play of converting your video and audio files to the latest formats and there are many other programs out there that can do the same.

Once you have the content converted to multiple formats, it is just a matter of choosing a player to embed the content in. Here is the reason I wrote this post, below you will find 2 links that will take you to pages that describe and explain a list of modern media players.

I found 20+ media players that will deliver your content to anybody on any device with the implementation of HTML5 and OGG. I have tried a few and I am still trying to decide which one(s) I will settle down with. So far I have not had any problems converting my video files, uploading them to my server, and calling for them with the code snippets these player websites offer. I like the dimensions of the players and they are of course ready for HD.

Developers interested in these new multi-format media players should follow the links below, enjoy! If you know of any other media players or have further HTML5 WebM or OGG information, please share it with me, thanks.
